‘Smoking Buddies’ is a collaboration compilation consisting of tracks written with friends of the Jazzman. Each track has its unique style and flavour depending on the secondary artist that label head Jozef has worked with.

JMAN08 includes Sydney’s Manjazz with the lead track ‘Life In A Club’ which holds a high energy minimal groove accompanied by catchy vocal cuts and luscious pads.

Secondly, ‘The Flutter’ features Melbourne’s Prosdo on the record as he explores a more profound style than his usual signature sound.

Jesse Bligh joins the third record, ‘I Don’t Wanna Know’, a collaboration from afar, with his classy chord stabs and vibey arpeggiators.

Last but not least, ‘Jonathan James’ was written with Handsdown – a deep, dark and grungy broken experimental club track with wonky sounds that leave you unsure. Another flip-side to the original style of Shannon’s usual sound direction is what ‘Smoking Buddies’ is all about. Writing tunes with your mates and doing something different.
